Food Review: Shine Organics Fruit & Veggie Pouches
Happy Monday FitChicks I am in a great mood today because I have gotten an adequate amount of rest and work done this weekend, and also I’m super excited to do this food review.
My last food review stemmed from a random trip to Target picking up everything except what I needed, and once again I somehow wandered to the grocery aisle and picked up some new intriguing treats. I haven’t really tried any new foods lately because I’m so use to my ways, but the packaging and price of these was too good to pass on.
Shine Organics Fruit and Veggie Pouches is the snack that currently has my heart. The bright packaging, listed ingredients, and .84 cent price tag had me sold but once I tasted them I knew I had to share with you guys this magical healthy mix.
I only picked up the Purify and Elevate flavors because that was all I could find, the rest were completely gone. But Shine Organics has 4 flavors total : Purify, Elevate, Calm, & Revive. Each pouch has these names because essentially that’s what they do, depending on the ingredients. Purify contains apple, guava kale, parsley, strawberry, and chia , all obviously ingredients that can detox the body. And Elevate has banana, carrot, mango, orange, wheatgrass, turmeric, and chia which all can energize the body. All of the flavors contain tons of vitamins , fiber, and potassium.
Now let’s talk about how they taste. I will admit the addition of wheatgrass, turmeric, and parsley had me a bit worried and was expecting these to taste like a salad tossed in a blender, but to my surprise these were actually really good. The baby food texture took a few seconds to get used too but after that I throughly enjoyed it. To me personally the purify taste better then the elevate, but that’s just because I prefer the taste of kale over wheatgrass any day.
These are perfect if your student like me, or just an overall busy individual because you can just grab them and go. And the resealable cap makes these worry free if you toss them in your purse or back pack. I also discovered these are great to chia jars, smoothies, or on top of yogurt (YUM!). Overall I give Shine Organics pouches a 4 out of 5, and it’s only a point away from a perfect score because I wish they were bigger!
